Crucified With Christ
Tuesday Feb 02, 2016
Tuesday Feb 02, 2016
Topic of discussion is a continuation of "Christ, the End of the Law For Righteousness-- Crucified With Christ" Romans 10:1-4. Galatians 2:20-21To be crucified with Christ is to be dead (no longer in relationship with it) to the world system, religion, self, sin and Satan. It means that we no longer strive to live for self, our old life as we have known it. The passions and lust which controlled us before Salvation should be nailed to His Cross. This is necessary so that the life of Christ can be manifested through us. Too many of us get saved and then try to live for God based upon our old way of living, thinking and self efforts. The only way that the life of Christ can be revealed through you and I, as believers, is if we place our focus and faith not on our ministry, not on our gifts and abilities, and not on works but on where we began this Christian life which is by faith in the Cross of Christ and where we shall end this life by exhibiting faith in the Cross of Christ. When the Apostle Paul stated that he was crucified to the world, he meant that he died to the Pharisee Saul, he died to the religious Saul, along with the rules and regulations. When the Lord saves you from self, religion ...etc you must not strive to go back into the very things that you once renounced. Just like Cain, who was in the flesh and wanted God to bless him based upon his efforts, we too live our lives based upon a works and merit system. Cain was angry because the Lord would not accept his sacrifice which was based upon works or his efforts. This anger caused him to hate and murder his brother Abel. This is the battle between those in the flesh and those led by the Spirit. Religion and religious people hate and detest those who walk by faith in the Cross and not by works and self efforts. Living the crucified life will cause one to identify with Christ's death, burial and resurrection and it will bring about hostility from those who aren't living this life. Paul spent most of his Christian life defending the Cross and resisting the attacks from organized religion.

Religious But Not Victorious Romans 10:1-4

Topic of discussion is a continuation of "Christ, the End of the Law For Righteousness-- Religious but Not Victorious" Romans 10:1-4.Many today operate in the spirit of religion. To be religious is to be without the affects of applying the Cross to ones life. You can preach it but not live it. The Pharisees were teachers of the Law of Moses but yet not experiencing the Power of God. Never place your focus on the charisma of men and ministry, for man can and will fail you every time. But look to the Man who laid down His life for all who will believe. One can operate in a gift or ability but not experience the supernatural power of the Cross to overcome sin, self, the world and Satan. 1 Corinthians 13:1We must understand as Christians that we may have a zeal for the things of God but this zeal must be according to Way of God, which is only by faith in Calvary. The Believer must realize that when trying to live for God, we can't do it in our strength and ability. Romans 7 shows us that it is complete failure. It has to be done based upon the Power of the Holy Spirit. The Power of the Spirit can only be released when we evidence faith/trust/confidence in the fact that victory was afforded to us when Christ died almost 2,000 years ago. We must realize that we are victorious based upon this act alone. In order for there to be a release of the Spirit, there must be a Crucifixion of self, sin, and our love for this world system. Many are puffed up and think that they can work to obtain righteousness based upon their efforts. God was and is satisfied only with what His Son has accomplished on our behalf at Calvary alone, and when our faith is confidently placed in this act then and only then is He satisfied with us. Just as Cain tried to offer a work of his hands unto God and it was rejected so it is with everyone who in their own strength and ability try to please God with human efforts. Abel was accepted because the sacrifice he offered was according to the Way of God, Calvary. Without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sin. Every effort, project, desire, motive....etc, offered to God which isn't birth and based upon faith in the atonement, is rejected!

Have You Submitted Yourself to God's Way of Righteousness?

Romans 10:1-5Topic of discussion is "Christ, the End of the Law For Righteousness-- Have You Submitted Yourself to God's Way of Righteousness?" Romans 10:1-4.The Believer must understand that anything we receive from God the Father, is based upon the Covenant relationship through faith in Calvary. God cannot go outside of the confines of faith and grace. Grace flows to us based upon our faith in His redemption plan, Calvary. Righteousness, is simply right doing/right being and can only come to us as we exhibit confidence and trust in God's plan of righteousness. Our human efforts, strength and ability cannot produce the type of righteousness which God desires. It must be done by the Power and Might of the Holy Spirit only when our object of faith is in the Cross of Christ.Today many have set about to establish their own righteousness simply because of a refusal to submit to God's way of Righteousness, the Cross. We have substituted humanistic psychology, and many more books and teachings which are contrary to faith in Calvary. Paul's desire for Israel back then, was that they might be saved. They were religious but not saved.
