The Last Day Church - A Call to Awaken Out of Sleep!

Topic of discussion is a continuation of "Awake Thou That Sleep and Arise From the Dead" Ephesians 5:14
For too long the Church has fallen asleep to the things of God. We are more concerned about religious activities and organized church than the "Will" of God being accomplished in our lives daily. The sole purpose of God saving us through the death of Christ is so that the life of Christ can be displayed in us and God's government can increase in the earth. Sadly, today the "church" just like Israel of old, has dropped the ball and allowed the world system to rule the church and in the earth. Today God is calling for the last day Remnant Church to Awake from the chains of religious works and activities, Arise from the dead and allow Christ to energize you with His Light by exhibiting faith in the Cross. There is a call for each of us to walk worthy of the vocation wherewith He has called us.

Walking in the Light of the Gospel Expels Darkness

God has called the church to be the light of the world, a city on a hill. The church has been called to direct the world to Him. The bible warns us to take heed lest the light in us be not darkness. The reason the world is in the state/condition it's in, is due to the church becoming dead to the Spirit. When the Message of the Cross is rejected and we substitute religious works/traditions, you are allowing the Light of Christ to be put out. For too long because we have been put to sleep by religion and religious works, the enemy has come and planted tares in God's vineyard(the world). Therefore the fruit of the world is evil.

Awake Out of Your Sleep (Church) and Arise From the Dead

Walk As Children of Light (Faith in Calvary) Ephesians 5:1-14

Topic of discussion is "Awake Thou That Sleep and Arise From the Dead" Ephesians 5:14God has called the church to be the light of the world, a city on a hill. The church has been called to direct the world to Him. The bible warns us to take heed lest the light in us be not darkness. The reason the world is in the state/condition it's in, is due to the church becoming dead to the Spirit. When the Message of the Cross is rejected and we substitute religious works/traditions, you are allowing the Light of Christ to be put out. For too long because we have been put to sleep by religion and religious works, the enemy has come and planted tares in God's vineyard(the world). Therefore the fruit of the world is evil. Everyone who doesn't know Christ is in spiritual darkness, but since coming to Christ we are a reflection of the Light of Christ.  We are to order our behavior as children of Light as Christians.  As children of light we must separate from darkness (evil deeds).

Will You Embrace the Cross?

To embrace the Cross is to embrace the doctrine of self denial, picking up Cross and following His Way daily.  It means that you are willing to let Christ invade your life with His presence and will.  The Jews in John 6:43-66, initially believed Christ but refused to walk in the way of Christ and Him Crucified.  Due to their thinking and beliefs contrary to the way of God, they were willing to leave Christ and His doctrine and scatter.

The Word of God -- Making Room For it in Our Hearts!

Topic of discussion is a continuation of "Awake Thou that Sleep - Does God's Word Have A Place in You?" Ephesian 5, John 8:37-
Oftentimes we say we are Christians or Followers of Christ but God's Word has no place in our hearts. In other words the Power of God isn't manifested to overcome sin, self, the world and Satan. The bible tells us that we must receive (embrace) the engrafted (implanted) Word(doctrine of the Cross), which is able to save (to keep safe/sound and to rescue from danger) our souls (the seat of the feelings, desires, affections, aversions (our heart, soul etc.).
The purpose of receiving the Word or Truth as found in the Person of Christ and His atoning work at the Cross, is to change us into the very image of Christ. The Holy Spirit's job once we accept Christ as our Personal Savior, is to change our thinking/mindset/purposes...etc to that of the mind of God. Romans 12:1-3. This is how true transformation takes place, through a mind renewal.
Only the Truth of Christ that is revealed and accepted/obeyed can bring you true freedom. In John 8:30-37, we find some folks who said they believed Christ but they weren't willing to walk in obedience to His Word. He revealed their true condition or what was in their hearts and because His Word found no place in them...ie they weren't willing to admit what they were, and accept who He was, they were unable to follow Him all the way.
