The Importance of Being Rooted in Christ
Tuesday Dec 13, 2016
Tuesday Dec 13, 2016
Topic of discussion is "The Importance of Being Rooted in Christ" Colossians 2, Matthew 13
As Believers, one of the greatest struggles we will ever face in this life, is thestruggle to believe and trust in God's Redemption plan no matter what we encounter. Satan's biggest attack against the believer is the destruction of one's faith/focus. He (Satan) desires to shift your faith from being squarely placed in the Cross of Christ alone. One of his strategies is to keep us from being rooted in Christ and the Cross.
To be "rooted" in Christ simply means one has allowed divine truths of Calvary to become reality and has allowed it to enter into the deep recesses of his soul. Many do not allow this process of being rooted and grounded in Christ to take affect due to shifting our focus to other things such as religious works and activities...etc.

Satan's biggest attack against the believer is the destruction of one's faith/focus. He (Satan) desires to shift your faith from being squarely placed in the Cross of Christ alone. He is a great promoter of religious works and activities and self efforts because those things causes us to move our affection from the Power Source of overcoming life, the Cross.
"The Spirit of God has set a great many people free from their sin, yet they are experiencing no fullness in their lives— no true sense of freedom." ~O. Chambers This is due to having the wrong focus or object of faith.

Topic of discussion is "No Longer Walking in the Vanity of Your Mind-Crucified With Christ" Ephesians 4:17
Walking in the vanity of one's mind simply means that we are trying to live for God without having a renewed mind. In other words living for God based upon our own interpretation of God based upon tradition of men, upbringing, bias opinons...etc. If we have not been transformed and submitted to the Way of the Cross daily by exhibiting faith, then it is impossible to live for Him and experience victory.
What I'm finding in the Body of Christ is our refusal to allow God to conform us to His Image. This means that because our ways aren't His Ways and our thought process is contrary to His, that we like Jacob are wrestling with God to stay the same. We don't want the Lord to change our habits, routines, ways of thinking, religious traditions....etc. We like Peter are trying to follow Christ but not applying the Cross in our Walk/Living for Him. In order to live for Him, we must obey His Word so that we can grow up to become a perfect/mature man/woman of God.
Feel free to tune in!
